PRINCIPLES FOR PERSONAL GROWTH, CHANGE, AND TRUE SUCCESS IN OUR LIFE AND SERVICE TO OTHERS

How to become all we can be and live at peace in our world.

Principle 10 - We all have to serve somebody; we are hard wired for service to others.

All the principles are important to growth, change, and true success.  To live in full alignment with them will also help us to enjoy peace of mind in our lives and in our relationships with others.  But this principle is the one that has the greatest power to propel you down the road to true success and up the path of grace and glory.  It is reported that Albert Einstein reflected in his later years that he had discovered some truths beyond physics and mathematics about our human purpose in the Cosmos.  He said simply that we exist for others.  In saying this, he is affirming this principle, and it is not relative.

This principle works in deep and mysterious ways and can also be very practical in it’s application.  There is a well known speaker and sales seminar leader who states that the best way to get you want, is to help others get what they want.  That’s service to others.  On a higher plane, there is a philosophical thinker who has spent years studying the role of money in our lives.  His conclusion; money is to be used in the service of others and in the acquisition of wisdom.

Back to the marketplace.  A young executive was in a seminar where this idea was shared.  He did not agree and replied harshly, “It’s a tough world and I am here to serve myself, period!”  The reply to him was, “Well, I hope you pay well and on time, because you are the only customer you are going to get.”  Success in the marketplace comes from service to others, period.  We are compensated on the basis of our contribution to others.

The great spiritual traditions continually demonstrate that this principle is rooted deep in the truths of the universe.  We are made to serve others and only in service to others will we find joy and true success.

As we seek ways to heighten our success, increase our influence, and to prosper, we need to seek ways to live in full accord with the principle that says, We all have to serve somebody; we are hard wired for service to others.
